Clinical Director

Dana Gonzalez, LCSW, serves as the Clinical Director at Beacon Recovery Center, where she leads the clinical team with a blend of personal experience and professional expertise. Having been in recovery since 2011, Dana’s journey fuels her passion for helping those struggling with addiction. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Florida Atlantic University, graduating with honors. She has worked in the substance abuse field since early in her recovery. Dana utilizes evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to create an environment of empathy and open-mindedness in patient care.

A native of Davie, Florida, Dana is deeply connected to her local community. Outside of her work, she enjoys reading, line dancing, and spending time with her family. She is also active in 12-step fellowship meetings, embracing the opportunity to support others on their recovery journeys. Dana’s personal mantra, “to be aware is to be alive,” reflects her belief in the power of awareness and growth in her professional and personal life.
